In mythology, the pomegranate (nar) is the fruit of passion and love of the gods. In folkloric culture it is the king of the fruits. On christianity it symbolises the World in the hands of Jesus. In the political-life, it bears a symbolic meaning. It is a source honour for the crowned rulers. In Islam it is considered as the fruit of heaven. The pomegranate tree had been created from the blood drops of Side who had been competing the Goddess Hera in beauty. While pomegranate flower is symbolising Narcissus because of its berries Persephone cut her fasting. Due to another belief in mythology the pomegranate, the fruit of love and prosperity had been created from the seeds of Zeus during his togetherness with the stone sculpture of Cybele. Today we watch the pomegranate as the source of inspiration of a contemporary painter. 42 works of artist are being exhibited in our site. The prices of these works are between 1000$-15000$.
